Wi-Fi Upgrade for Plas Farm Caravan Park, Abergele, North Wales

Following on from the internet to the lodges installation we carried out for Nant Lodges in December,  Affinity Wi-Fi returned to Abergele to replace the old Wi-Fi network at Plas Farm Caravan Park.

Following a full site survey, it was established that the existing locations were suitable to provide -65dB coverage, but we did highlight a few weak areas where additional access points were required.  The old Mikrotik Groves and SXTs, along with a few Engenius M2000 were removed and replaced with Cambium Force180 for all point to point links, and UniFi Mesh-PRO dual-band access point for the client access.

A new Sentinel Gateway was installed that provides DHCP, DNS, FIREWALL and SYSLOG services, along with all guest authentication and portal features.

In addition to the Guest Wi-Fi, new links were installed to provide separate internet solutions into the large house, and the office and reception buildings using unique DHCP pools and firewall rules to isolate the networks from each other.

Finally, monitoring was put in place using our hosted PRTG platform to monitor both up/down status, as well as full SNMP and Netflow data.
